I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Total Quality Logistics (North Charleston, SC) in Mar 2016
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter. First was a basic phone call from recruiter, explaining the details of the job. Inside sales job 35,000 plus commissions. 6 months training before hand, kind of long but I get it. Making a lot of calls a day. Takes awhile to build your book of business. Work on successful brokers account for 6 months to learn it etc.
1. phone call
2. more in depth phone call.
3. you go on site and take a test of the united states geography. Know your states and abbreviations. Basic microsoft excel stuff on there to and a little bit of the companies background not much though. Basic 5th grade math is on there too.
4. same day you take the tests interview with your recruiter, this is easy because you have been talking to your recruiter for like a month so it feels like your talking to your friend. basic questions what motivates you? experience ? typical interview questions, greatest weakness etc.
5. then you come back there a second day shadow a successful broker then shadow a junior broker who is will be you after the 6 months, starting up your book. the hardest part of the job. you see the real good, then the starting out rough patch, they make it pretty clear on what to expect here.
6. last part is with a hiring manager to see if you are goon on his team. i got a pretty cool guy we got to chatting and just were trying to get to know each other. just be yourself and don't lie. make sure you are money hungry for this job and you will get it.

Interview
Good interview good people great environment. Went over everything that I needed to know and they offer a somewhat competitive salary. Seems like a job that could be very beneficial for someone looking to work hard and move their way up in a company.

Interview
Very straightforward 2 round process. First call with the recruiter and the second with the hiring manager. They ask you to do a little take home assignment before the 2nd interview round to explain your understanding of logistics and the service they provide.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Total Quality Logistics in Apr 2026
Interview
First was a phone call with the recruiter and then an in office visit shadowing two team members and then an interview again with the recruiter. The final interview was an in office visit again but with timed quizzes and also meeting with the hiring manager.
I shadowed two people one who was a trainee and another who was more “tenured”. The job itself looked very hard to get leads and long hours, also had a very sales floor vibe.
