      HR Manager Interview

      29 May 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Pune
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Tredence (Pune) in May 2026

      Interview

The interview experience was extremely disappointing. The interviewers came across as overly confident despite demonstrating a limited understanding of fundamental HR concepts. During the discussion, there appeared to be significant misconceptions regarding the 9-Box Talent Assessment Model, which is a basic framework that experienced HR professionals are expected to understand and apply correctly. What was concerning was not just the lack of depth in knowledge, but the unwillingness to acknowledge alternative perspectives or engage in a meaningful discussion. When organizations place individuals with incomplete understanding of core HR practices into leadership positions, it raises serious questions about the overall people strategy and decision-making process. It is perhaps not surprising that senior leaders, including those at the executive level, struggle with long-term retention in such an environment. The interview reflected a culture where confidence seems to be valued more than competence, making it difficult for experienced professionals to view the organization as a credible place to build their careers.
