Not good experience lot of rounds and lot of technical rounds. Had python test and coding test before the technical interview. Finally got the offer but declined due to salary negotiation problem.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ubisoft (Montreal, QC) in Sept 2021
Interview
I had a short phone call with a recruiter to discuss my experience and expectations for the role, and then a second interview with the person who would have been my boss. They talked about the team and they asked questions about my experience, this part was non technical. I heard back the next day that they weren't interested in continuing - I got the feeling during the second interview that my interests and strengths didn't align very well with the job.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ubisoft (Montreal, QC) in Mar 2021
Interview
Phone screen, then technical interview with easy whiteboard question, and standard data engineer questions, specifically a lot of database questions.
This was followed by two behavioural interviews with various other Ubisoft employees which went over typical behavioural questions, and then a HR interview which was also behavioural questions.
Finally there was a reference check stage, they asked for a reference from my current job which I really wasn't a fan of, they ended up giving me a written offer conditional on a reference from my current manager which I went with, but given how managers often feel jilted when an employee leaves isn't great.
Other than that, the HR contact and employees who interviewed me were really friendly, had a good experience otherwise.
