Interview
Got a call from a recruiting consultancy. She initially asked my current salary and asked my expected salary, then my experience.
As my current salary is lower than industry standard, I have asked for an industry standard salary for my experience. She told they could provide only 30% increment which is industry standard.
I have told about an offer that I was having already with 50% increment from my current salary but it is farlesser than industry standard salary still. Immediately she told me I will get around 70% hike. (Even if candidates got 7000 with 2 years experience also, they still talk about 30%.
(Dear HR people, As we are earning lesser than what we deserve, that doesn't mean that we should be underpaid throughout our career). I told her to schedule the interview.
And the highlight is She asked me about my projects as a tech person and told me "If you fail to appear on the interview, you cannot attend interview with the company for next 2 years".
I felt like, what's wrong with her?? this not a TCS/HCL/CTS/Infosys/Amazon/Google, why should I even care if she stop me from attending interview for next 2 years or even 10 years.
Be professional while calling up a candidate for an interview. I haven't heard anything from her further and I also not interested in attending interview in this company.
She literally made a statement that made her look like a fool, throughout the conversation I didn't lose my temper. Thank God.
