Do not apply unless you plan to dedicate your life to this company. In the interview they talked about how this is a very demanding position with on-call weekend shifts. You practically have to know everything. When I asked about training, they mentioned sending the person out to somewhere local to do some job shadowing. Apparently "local" to them meant sending someone out to a neighboring state. They were also mentioning things that were not in the job description like being able to unload trucks with a forklift on days where it may be slow. Poor transparency.

Question 1
Would you be interested in working outdoors, like in the summer?
I interviewed at United Rentals (South Holland, IL)
Interview
The first step 30 minute introduction by phone. At least for me, this was not scheduled but rather a call I received a few days after submitting the application. After the call, I was invited to an in person interview with the Site manager for the fluids division
I went in person to give my resume. The interview was simple and short. It was one interview. Nothing too crazy. There was a phone interview but I skipped that and went straight in person.

Question 1
Why do you want to work here or something like that
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at United Rentals in Jun 2025
Interview
Panel type interview with 3 people. Too many questions and it lasted an hour with each person taking turns. Just a little bit of conversation style talk. Once it was over, all that was said was that's all we have right now. No thank yous, no mention of next steps, no anything.
