I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at United Rentals in Nov 2015
Interview
Received a rejection letter from HR initially then a week later an email requesting I schedule a phone interview. When I responded with my availability a meeting with the hiring manager was offered instead. Met with branch and operations manager for about an hour or so. Told me I would hear back if I was selected to speak with the District Manager. I interviewed with the DM and BM a week after first interview, and received the offer the next day. Not a lot of stem questions but more questions about how you fit with the culture...
I interviewed at United Rentals (South Holland, IL)
Interview
The first step 30 minute introduction by phone. At least for me, this was not scheduled but rather a call I received a few days after submitting the application. After the call, I was invited to an in person interview with the Site manager for the fluids division
I went in person to give my resume. The interview was simple and short. It was one interview. Nothing too crazy. There was a phone interview but I skipped that and went straight in person.

Question 1
Why do you want to work here or something like that
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at United Rentals in Jun 2025
Interview
Panel type interview with 3 people. Too many questions and it lasted an hour with each person taking turns. Just a little bit of conversation style talk. Once it was over, all that was said was that's all we have right now. No thank yous, no mention of next steps, no anything.
