I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Universal Orlando Resort (Orlando, FL) in Jun 2017
Interview
Very quick as they always need cooks. There's a lobby with Universal Studios movies playing while you wait. Background check on site. And fingerprinting and photo taken all on first day of interview, if hired.
I applied in-person. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Universal Orlando Resort in May 2014
Interview
The hiring process is quick and easy. They try to get you to work as soon as possible and schedule you for the earliest orientation days that work best for you. I went through a job fair so it was a short 5 minute interview.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Universal Orlando Resort (Orlando, FL) in Sept 2011
Interview
I guess I'm the only one who got the rudest HR member out of the bunch. She was not nice... she did not smile... she was condescending the entire time and then told me I did not have enough experience to be a Line Cook (even though I had plenty of experience). she told me I would be going for one job, and when I had my second interview I was completely lost... because it was for a position completely unrelated! Luckily, I was quick enough to save myself a job and embarrassment. I had just moved to the area, so it's not as though she needed a reason to hate me.
