Had a initial conversation with an Engineering Manager about the role, my background, etc. My perception was that everything went well, excepts that the interviewee was a bit concerned about my previous experience of leading a team and working as fullstack, as the role was only frontend (even if he said that was opportunity to do different kind of work, and I make it clear I was ready to help the team/company in any way required, no issues of being purely IC - I applied to the role, right?). No idea why this was a problem (if it was at all, just assuming).
After around a week, received a generic email saying that they decided to continue with another candidates, which is totally fine. I have answered the email asking for feedback to help me to improve and get something from the short process, and they did not answered anything.
Felt that the company did not value the candidate's time, very disrespectful approach to be honest.
