I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Veeva Systems in Aug 2024
Interview
One of the stranger interviews I've had - hiring manager seemed to follow a list of very canned and templated questions, which in and of itself isn't bad, but it wasn't conversational and felt more like an interrogation. I was asked extensively about my work history from 12+ years ago (beyond the relevance of the role I was interviewing for), what my reasoning was for leaving every one of them, why I chose my major in college, and, absurdly, what I did in high school and what my extracurricular activities were. High school is not relevant for someone well into their professional career and is not indicative of who they are currently.
The most frustrating part was the conversation about compensation was at the very end of the hour long discussion, although this person knew that I was outside of their pay range from the recruiter interview; the way the salary is listed is not accurate and this person waited to confirm that I would be over their budget, wasting both of our time.

Interview
Act like they are so great. Have much lower salary. Waste your time on and on when you have more experience then people interviewing. Interview process too long and candidate exercise ridic. Really need to rethink how they do interview process.
