      Engineering Development Program Interview

      25 Dec 2011
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon in Nov 2011

      Interview

The interviewer was an alumnus of my school and came with a packet of questions to ask. The interview was mostly behavioral, with questions regarding leadership style, past experiences, and possible improvements to the company. The interview was pitched as for those from a technical background, but very few details came up that required any sort of expertise - I think they wanted more of the 'way of thinking' than any exact knowledge. The interviewer was friendly and encouraging, but I couldn't really gather how he thought the interview was going. I had a good impression of it afterward, so I was a little disappointed when I finally (after 2-3 weeks) got the call that I had not been selected.
