      Customer Service Representative Interview

      15 Jan 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Cranberry Township, PA
      No offer
      Neutral experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Verizon (Cranberry Township, PA) in Jan 2013

      Interview

After applying online, I received an email the very next day asking me to call in so that I could schedule a phone interview. January 4th, I had my first phone interview and passed. Next, I was scheduled to take the assessment on January 10th, and I passed. I was immediately scheduled for the second phone interview on January 12th, and passed. I had my face to face interview January 14th. I think the interview went pretty well although I felt the interviewer felt concerned about my short experience in customer service. I am a recent college graduate who is currently working on my MBA with a concentration in Human Resources. I am hoping and praying that as the hiring manager reviews my file that my credentials are taken into consideration. Despite that I have a little less than a year of experience, I was able to provide the interviewer with detailed answers to the lengthy questions using the STAR method. I also informed the interviewer of what I could bring to the company and why I think I am a good fit. I believe it went well but I am still very nervous and worried. I really need this job, as I intend to build a long-term career. I intend to work very hard at proving myself and letting them know that I am worth taking a chance on. I think Verizon Communications and Verizon Wireless are great companies to work for. The training starts on January 28th. I am praying to God that the recruiter or hiring manager calls me with an offer. I was told by the interviewer that I will hear something whether the decision is good or bad.

      Interview

Lengthy and the paperwork is extremely confusing to fill out and submit. Thank you. But other than that really nice people. They hire through a 3rd party called Rose International…. Very helpful people

      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

      Interview

Unprofessional interview, and unfair. Being bilingual and many years of customer service experience they decided to pass due to many years of experience. The interviewer also looked unorganized and was bias.
