      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Newport News, VA) in Apr 2014

      Interview

I applied online and in two weeks I got a email about signing up for some initial testing. The first test was like the SAT or an IQ test. There is also a personality test that's within it. Then if you pass that you take a computer knowledge test, which has questions similar to the A+ exam. Then I was called the next day to set up a "structured interview", which was basically a face-to-face interview. They told me a recruiter would call me, but they never did. The structured interview involved two people reading questions out of a booklet and writting down your answers. They then score your answers to determine if you pass.

      Interview

It was a virtual testing and interview process and it went very smooth for me. Most of the communication was via email and culminated in a virtual interview with a supervisor and a manager.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Verizon (Silver Spring, MD) in Nov 2019

      Interview

A little clunky, but the actual interview with the recruiter was not bad. No specific, technical questions about the job itself, which would have been helpful to both interviewer and interviewee. Once it was handed off to HR, it went off the rails. She was rushed, very much bothered, curt, condescending and even mildly sarcastic. She begrudgingly answered my questions, but after the offer letter was issued, she refused to answer basic questions about benefits, leave, or other HR-specific questions she could've easily answered. Her response, if any, was incomplete, incorrect, or she passed the buck.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Verizon (Syracuse, NY) in Mar 2017

      Interview

Typical Situational based questions, where you had to put yourself into a situation and explain in detail how you handled the situation, including the outcome. They also do a tour as part of their interview. I had a two person panel, consisting of one of the Center Managers and one of the Technical Supervisors.
