I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon in Jan 2011
Interview
I applied online and a two weeks later received an email that instructed me to read an attachment that wasn't there. I actually thought it was spam at first since I had applied through a 2nd party job site. I decided to email back anyway and request a new attachment which consisted of an overview of the position I applied for, and a copy of the "company credo." I responded to this email indicating I was still very interested in the position etc, and then received and email asking me to call and schedule a phone interview. I called on a Wednesday and the interview was scheduled for Monday. The interview was maybe a half hour long. After about a week I received a rejection email.

There were three parts to my hiring process. 1. The recruiter called me and asked me questions. 2. I spoke to the Assistant Manager. They asked me standard questions and we role-played a standard sale. 3. I did an in-person interview with the General Manager. We also did a role-play as well. BE PREPARED FOR THAT.
