This was for a remote role. The recruiter reaches out to make sure you can meet all of the training expectations. They also explain that during the 8 week training you are expected not to miss a day. For me the distance to travel daily was a bit to far but I'm glad I knew upfront. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and are genuinely looking for the right candidate for the role.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you able to fulfill the training requirements?
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Verizon (Gainesville, FL) in Oct 2021
Interview
Hiring manager was patient and communicative, but apparently said I was "too empathic" to be a good sales rep without training. They said I was perfect in terms of company culture, but they weren't sure if I would be a good fit for the sales-aspect of the position in the time they needed a new rep.
I was not tested in my ability to sell anything to the hiring manager. I was only asked company-guideline behavioral questions and then a few the manager had prepared of their own accord.
I was told they appreciated my intelligence in my answers, but they worried that while I had a "good understanding" of the sales process, I wouldn't be able to execute it efficiently.
This was odd since they didn't test me in a sales-roleplay.
