I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret in May 2010
Interview
For this group interview, the manager took us (about 7 people) to the back room. We each went down the line introducing ourselves and one word to describe us. Next, the manager went through each of our applications and asked us to just tell about our previous job experiences. People included details like what duties their position had, successes they had, or what they gained from the experience. The interviewer then finished each person's review with a random interview-y question (i.e. What is your idea of good customer service?, Where do you see yourself in 5 years? What do you look for in an employer?)
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
