I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Walgreens (Fort Wayne, IN) in Mar 2010
Interview
The store manager was very nice to me throughout the interview. She asked me the common interview questions such as what I did at my former job, what I enjoyed about it, my experience in sales/retail/inventory. I think she just wanted to make sure I had good retail experience and that I was friendly and easy to talk to. When I was told I got the job, I first had to pass a urine drug test. She told me I passed and that I could come in to complete some training on the computer, which mostly consisted of safety videos and skills tests. Then on my first few days working I learned register by standing by another employee who taught me just about everything I needed to know as a clerk. The whole process was pretty effective and I caught on quickly.
Very easy and casual interview. The hiring manager asked common interviewing questions and why I wanted to work there. They asked if I had any previous sales experience and my hours.
Fine. Basic. Asked me about past experiences that would have to do with the job. Overall felt good. Friendly. Welcoming. Was interviewing as for a sales associate position and went well.
I applied online, they got back to me in a week. Had one in-person interview which was just behavioral questions. They got back to me quickly after the interview. No other steps were need after
