Interview Answer

I had a great phone interview with the recruiter that reached out to me and then was invited to an in person interview with the manager in Manhattan. When I arrived the manager wasn't available so another lady in the office ended up having the interview with me. This gave me a bad vibe about the company since my new interviewer seemed clueless about the position I was interviewing for. The in-person interview was not conversational at all. It was awkward. We had to take the elevator to another floor to conduct the interview and the small talk on the elevator was awkward. The interviewer did not seem interested and seem more bothered that she had to interview someone as she was constantly checking her phone for the time. If you are conducting an interview, you should put your phone away or at least get a watch. It is rude to constantly press the home button on your phone to check the time. The interviewer briefly looked at my resume and was not engaging at all. I asked her some questions regarding the company and the job position, and only gave a one sentence answer. I was glad the interview was finally over. This gave me another bad vibe of the company and a representation of the team the job candidate for the position will be working with. After the interview, I was no longer interested in the company.
