      Reservations Agent Interview

      18 Sept 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Las Vegas, NV
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Wynn Resorts (Las Vegas, NV)

      Interview

First there was a cattle call with 40 ppl. They split us up into groups of 11. We turned in a copy of our resume and a card with general questions on it...Why are u the best candidate...what is good guest services etc.. They mark down when u arrive and u r given a card with a number on it...the number is how u arrived so get there early...there was a line out the door at the end. I got there 20 min. Early and my number was 9. You then go into a conference room with a recruiter and she asked everyone to tell her about yourself...experience. She then told details about the job and opened it up for questions. She then told us we would here from them soon. It started at 10am. By 2pm I had an email inviting me to round 2 today at 2. Today there were about 30 ppl. Only 5 of my original 11 were there. Three call center managers listened while we told them in 1 or 2 minutes what our dream vacation was. It went quickly. After that the managers took a 15 min. Pow wow and said they were gonna review their notes and to be back in 15. When we came back in another recruiter said: we r gonna split u up in two groups...when i call ur name we will be in touch with u and you may leave. Very nerve wracking as you waited for your name. When all the names were called...there were only 8 of us left. I thought some of the people were very well spoken and professionally dressed...they got cut. I was happy for me and the other 7 but sad for the other 22 who got cut. One girl was wearing jeans and stiletto hip boots. Really!? It said professional attire. She got cut. I think what they were looking for is professionally dressed clear speaking intelligent and poised candidates. Smiles everyone! I am not skinny but am polished polite and well spoken. We were a diverse group all shapes ages ethnicity. I also have tons of experience on the strip and other hospitality locations so maybe they wanted people with lots of experience? I'm still puzzled by the people i thought would make that were cut. Next is one on one interview with manager in dept. This week. Just relax...be yourself...be polite...smile. I don't know anyone at Wynn. So having to know someone can help...but is not my case. Good Luck! And please dress to impress...leave the jeans and stiletto boots for casual time with ur friends!
