I had an initial phone call with a Xero recruiter to discuss my fit for the role, followed by a scheduled interview where I was required to prepare and present in front of two people — something I spent considerable time and effort on.
After the interview, I was essentially ghosted for nearly two months. Despite multiple follow-up attempts on my end, I received no meaningful updates, feedback, or clarity on next steps. Eventually, I received a generic rejection email with no explanation.
This is a really poor way to treat candidates, especially those who have invested significant time and energy in the process. It’s a terrible way to treat people who are genuinely interested in contributing to your company.
Candidates deserve better. Please review your recruitment practices and do better.
