Eligibility Specialist In Hunt Valley Interview

      5 Mar 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Hunt Valley, MD
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Xerox (Hunt Valley, MD) in Dec 2015

      Interview

Sent by an out of state Temp Service that claims to be their exclusive recruiter for this position and this location. Met with three interviewers, interviewed in December it seemed to go well, but they kept evading the recruiter with excuses for delays in a decision. They said it was end of year, it was Christmas, still reviewing notes, people they want to review candidates with are on vacation until the first of the New Year. You name it they stalled! Finally gave up and told the recruiter I wasn't going to wait I was moving on. Noticed however that the job kept getting posted every month on CareerBuilder so two months later asked the recruiter for the status and was informed Xerox was still needing to fill the role. The week I interviewed as they tell the story to the recruiter was their best week of interviews. Recruiter resubmitted me and the excuses started all over again, So and so was in a meeting, so and so was on travel, this person is still reviewing notes etc. It was a perpetual stall. They kept blowing the recruiter off or avoiding. Finally went there in person and asked for the status myself. Was told "now they are only interviewing people they've selected" - whatever that meant. Needless to say this left a very very bad impression of the company with me. You think Xerox and you think wow,, this has to be a good place to work, it's Xerox after all, but based on how they behaved so unprofessionally refusing to just communicate a decision shows poor business manners and lack of professional courtesy.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Typically mind numbing non-creative sort of questions. Why do you want to work here, do you know what we do, Where do you see yourself in five years. In retrospect they couldn't even produce questions that were relevant to this decade. Very unoriginal.
