Met in person with the supervisor and the manager. They were really nice people and loved the chat we had about me, my experience and their current projects. We left each other after I asked some question to them and lastly they gave me a tour around their office spaces .
Using web portal with dumb "salary range" question, which is always a way to immediately get disqualified from the interview process. Reasonable people are willing to be flexible if they are given a chance to improve their position.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Zoic (Vancouver, BC) in Sept 2019
Interview
Super chill interview. Spoke with three people, HR, the lead on the project I would be joining and a vfx supe. Everyone was very friendly, they made it feel more like a conversation sharing thoughts and experiences than a bombarding interview. It felt like they cared and had genuine care in my career growth and personal life which comes rarely in this industry.
