I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at eBay (New York, NY) in Aug 2020
Interview
get contacted on LinkedIn, then start phone screen and virtual onsite.
phone screen is 45 mins: introduction, experience , 1 coding problem
virtual onsite: 5 rounds (backend, system design, project implementation, demo)
I applied online. I interviewed at eBay (London, England) in May 2023
Interview
During the stage 1 interview, the interviewer typically bombards the candidate with rapid-fire questions, such as "What is node.js?", without showing any real interest in learning more about the candidate's actual work experience. This approach can be frustrating for candidates who have a wealth of valuable experience to share, but may not be able to showcase it in the short time allotted for the interview. Additionally, this approach may not accurately assess a candidate's fit for the role, as it does not give them a chance to demonstrate their problem-solving skills, communication abilities, or other important qualities that are essential for success in the job.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at eBay in Apr 2020
Interview
I had first round which was a coding interview, there was only one question. The first round was a phone screen technical interview, which was about 90 min long. The interviewer was not much of help during the interview, had no idea what was going on while I was coding.
