What in your career history has prepared you for a customer service role with eBay and why do you want to work from home?
Proper training is the key to success at any role with eBay. Training is typically scheduled Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm CST. Some slight variances to duration of training could exist. We do require 100% attendance through training. Are you able to fully commit to the training?
Can you describe a situation where you had to demonstrate resilience while dealing with a difficult customer? What was the challenge, how did you handle it, and what was the outcome?
eBay is open 365 days a year, requiring varied shift start times and at least one weekend workday. Given this, what would be your ideal schedule in terms of start times and having two consecutive days off, either Sunday/Monday or Friday/Saturday?
We are passionate about our people, our customers, and partners. We inspire each other through inclusive collaboration what does this purpose mean to you and how will it impact how you support our customers?
The process began with a brief initial phone screening to discuss my background and availability. This was followed by a more formal virtual interview with the hiring manager. We discussed specific customer service scenarios, conflict resolution strategies, and how to maintain high satisfaction ratings while working in a fast-paced environment. The conversation was professional and focused heavily on interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to deal with a particularly difficult or frustrated customer. What steps did you take to resolve their issue, and what was the final outcome of that interaction?
Talked to a recruiter, said great things and I fit the role perfectly, would follow up with hiring manager. Week later, then said, not a good fit. Was sad about the lack of transparency.
Very complex tests before the interview it was like they needed a rocket scientist vs a representative and it was very lengthy so it was redundant and unnecessary I believe
