      Front End Engineer Interview

      19 May 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at eBay (Toronto, ON) in May 2025

      Interview

The interview process was pretty straightforward. I didn't have a screening call. We scheduled a first technical interview. The interview was probably one of the most uncomfortable I've ever had. I don't want to say anything bad about the interviewer, but I asked twice "is he there" during the interview, because despite my attempts to maintain some kind of dialogue while I was implementing the functionality, the interviewer simply remained silent. On the other hand, there were no "flood" questions. He said his name, I said my name, and he immediately suggested moving on to the task.

      Question 1

I was asked to implement a simple UI component using either vanilla.js or React.js.
