      Senior Consultant Interview

      16 May 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Rockville, MD
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at fusionSpan (Rockville, MD) in Nov 2025

      Interview

I interviewed with fusionSpan for a Senior Consultant position in November 2025. The process involved three interview rounds plus a recorded presentation assignment that required a substantial amount of preparation time. As of May 2026, the same position still appears to be actively posted, along with several other long-running openings. From a candidate perspective, this was frustrating given the amount of time and unpaid effort invested in the process. The interview itself focused heavily on Salesforce concepts, including security models, sharing rules, profiles vs permission sets, and related architecture topics. I would encourage applicants to ask detailed questions about hiring timelines and whether roles are actively being filled before committing extensive time to lengthy interview processes.

      Question 1

Honestly, most of the process felt pretty standard until the presentation round. One thing they specifically drilled into me was Salesforce security models — profiles vs permission sets, role hierarchy, sharing rules, object/field-level security, that kind of thing. What frustrated me wasn’t the technical questions themselves. It was investing that level of effort into multiple rounds and a recorded presentation only to watch the exact same role stay posted for 6+ months afterward.
