Description The 1980s is known for celluloid art (film making); it's also when Cellu Tissue began (1984). The manufacturer, dba Clearwater Paper, uses processed pulp to produce rolls of tissue and tissue products for the private-label and away-from-home markets. Most of its revenue comes from converted products, including napkins and bath tissue, with the remainder from foam disposables (plates and bowls). Cellu Tissue also sells tissue and machine glazed tissue rolls, called hard rolls, to makers of diapers, feminine care products, food wrap, and other soft goods. Formerly controlled by private equity Weston Presidio, Cellu Tissue went public in 2010, but later that year was acquired by Clearwater Paper for $502 million.
