      AQR India is a horrible place to work

      Pros

      Bangalore office hired some smart developers and technical managers. Office is nice. Campus hires from top schools in India. Start up vibe.

      Cons

      Most of the talented technical people in India office left. Too much of churn. The existing technical managers have no clue what to do. HR department is most employee unfriendly. Instead of assisting employees, they make it harder for people to work productively by not giving them hardware etc. Even during the pandemic time! They dump work on juniors, pick fights with other departments and even verbally abuse the junior staff and contractors. They created a toxic culture in the small office.

      1. Good WLB 2. Some good employee benefits, like free food..

      Cons

      1. Really average engineering work, mostly sql based. 2. India team is mostly support and meant to be a replacement of support team of contractors. 3. Managers are pretty much following their managers blindly. There is no communication or feedback system at all. 4. Below avg hikes and bonus. 5. 3 months notice period, which will be non-negotiable is most cases.
