Pros

1)Flexibility with a Side of Accountability: Here’s the deal, flexibility is great, as long as you’re delivering what you’ve committed to. If you drop the ball, expect some consequences. It’s not a big deal, just part of the corporate life. Just be ready to catch up and keep it moving. 2) Career Growth : Job descriptions are not set in stone, your role will evolve and shift as you grow. At first, it might feel like being thrown into the deep end, but in the long run, it’s a great learning experience. You’ll find yourself stepping into new areas, dipping your feet in the unknowns and learning a lot of stuff you didn’t know you were capable of, and yes, it can be unsettling, but helps you grow in the long run from my personal experience. 3] Akrity folks : Team is genuinely supportive. When you need help, someone’s always there to lend a hand, and you get to work with a bunch of fun people, debating Nolan v/s Scorsese and which film industry is better over tea and soon enough, the line between colleagues and friends is as blurry as a shaky cam shot. 4) Constructive (and sometimes tough) Feedback: Buckle up, because feedbacks can be tough and hard to hear, but feedback is for your work and not for the person, and it’s never just feedbacks, you’ll get the support to incorporate and improve. 5) Supportive Founders and HR Team: The founders are committed to what they are doing in their own ways. The HR team’s got your back too, especially if personal stuff comes up, they genuinely care. That being said, you still have to make up for any missed work eventually. It’s a corporate environment and not an NGO so that expectation is fair.

Cons

1) High Expectations : If you’re someone who likes to coast, this may not be the place for you. The bar is set high. You’ll need to stay on top of your game and produce results. If that sounds like too much, better to pass. 2) Role Uncertainty: If you like knowing exactly what you’re doing every single day, the fluidity here might feel a bit overwhelming. Things can shift quickly, and your job might evolve faster than you’d like. It’s part of growing, but can be stressful at times. 3) Tough Love Feedback: Feedback is honest, and sometimes it stings. If you're not used to it, you might have to grow a thicker skin.

Pros

1. The Team - - Akrity is a place where high performers thrive! The team and customers are above the individuals in this organisation. - Everyone in the team are super helpful to you. They will not give you answers but guide you to finding answers on your own. No matter how much time it takes for you to figure out. - The senior team members are always available. I clearly remember an instance when once the CTO had gone to attend his friend's wedding. But, a junior developer was not able to resolve an issue, the CTO got on a call while on vacation and helped the team mate :) - Nobody is looked down upon in Akrity. There is equal opportunity for everyone and it is up to you to be patient and make your work count. - They look out for burn out of employees very seriously. The CEO works closely with the clients to ensure that the employee satisfaction is met and if not, he has taken corrective measures as and when necessary! His work is always confidential and behind the scenes and goes unnoticed quiet often. 2. The Management - - Akrity is a flat organisation. Hence there are only 2 managers. 2 extremely talented and resourceful leaders with a strong drive and purpose to help people build their careers for the long run. - Their hard work has put Akrity in a place where if you spend 1 year in Akrity it is equivalent to 3 years elsewhere in the market (Customers pay and have been paying for this) - Both of them have been working on building Akrity from the past 10 years and have successfully built and launched 20+ products. They are not amateurs. 3. The Company - - Akrity only works with certain type of customers. They are very choosy and demanding when it comes to onboarding clients. They only work with companies that has the potential to define an industry. You can see their track record of clients. Their goal is to work with challenging problem statements that are interesting and exciting for the Engineers working on them. - Akrity believes in having a limited number of clients and invest in those clients for a long term success and invests time accordingly. 4. The Culture - - Akrity has a strong culture for learning and development. Everything is built keeping in mind "What it takes for someone to be a good Engineer". - Akrity is a process oriented organisation and these processes are maturing and evolving. The training process specifically is built in a scientific way based on more than the industry standards. - Akrity gives more ownership and independence for you to fail. But your experiments are done in a controlled environment because your actions have real world impact. - Akrity believes in long term success for even its employees (We have an Engineer that has been in Akrity for 9 years now!) - Variety of work - Because an "Engineering Leader" doesn't just mean writing code, Akrity helps you choose on other areas for you to grow and explore. Ex - Recruitments, Technical Sales, Training.

Cons

1. Many freshers that were hired thinking that they should be given an opportunity to be Engineering Leaders did not appreciate it and behaved very unprofessionally. 2. This is not a con but every organisation has its own priorities given the situation and the place the company is in. It is fairly possible to get those priorities wrong at times. It is only human.

Pros

- This is a serious company, founders are really committed. People who really want to learn and grow will like the environment here. Others may find it overwhelming. - This company is best suited for people who are very serious about their career and learning. It has ample opportunities to learn new things and for career progression. - They invest a lot in their employees in training them and also giving them opportunities to take up challenging roles. For example a 2-year experience engineer can have the opportunity to become a tech lead. Engineers also get to contribute on an org level by getting involved in technical sales, engineering scaling, technical mentors etc - A lot of support is provided by the leadership and training to do well in what we are working on, it can become overwhelming sometimes, but some employees may not be interested in the upskilling which has been planned by the managers for them - The standard of work and skills of people in this Company is high. It's because they provide that level of support and training. Some people will not be able to live upto the standards set by them and they will not be able to survive in the company. But if you do well in your work, your career development will be taken very seriously by the leadership. - CEO is very understanding and very wise. Says a lot of insightful things. - CTO is quite smart, people will find him intimidating but if you do your work properly, you can learn a lot from him. He is also quite supportive. - All in all, it's a good company best suited for people who take their work seriously. Not the right place for 9-5 people. - Founders are very nice people. Everyone else is also very nice, good and supportive culture. - They take people's upskilling very seriously. They will have an upskilling plan for everyone based on people's interest areas.

Cons

- Sometimes people end up working long hours as they are handling important responsibilities, so work-life balance during weekdays may not be that good, but there is a lot of flexibility about when you can start your day and end it. They don't micromanage this, it's mostly about how you are able to complete your work and contribute. As long as you don't misuse the flexibility, you are good. They will never ask to work on weekends. - Office place could be better with better facilities for having lunch, tea, snacks etc. - Some variety in office parties would be nice - They should automate their HR stuff.
