Pros

Great and highly supportive student community within my team with other student workers and supervisors

Cons

If you are trying to become a supervisor or advance at all ASU will always put more responsibilities on us minimum wage workers rather than properly staff their pro-staff positions

Pros

People I work with, lots of students and other staff members

Cons

If you apply here make sure that the position isn’t a temporary one as I was told after almost 2 years then I was laid off. Highly inappropriate.

Pros

Being a staff member at ASU provides you wonderful opportunities including tuition reimbursement and matching 401K. This position allows you to get your foot in the door if you want to move up at the University.

Cons

Unfortunately, this job wore me to the ground. It ran like a call center. Everyday the focus was making a certain number of calls and talking a certain number of minutes to students. While the goal was to deliver good service to the students, it was the quantity that seemed to matter more than the quality. Every minute of your work is tracked. Everything feels micromanaged. After a while it started to feel a bit demeaning.
