The CEO does not manage effectively at all and, while he will tell you that you are an analyst, you actually serve in a call center role where it is more important to garner subscriptions than to actually focus on doing your job well. A lack of appropriate subscriptions, which was often due to speculation of a down-turn in the market and has nothing to do with the employees at Asian Metal not working hard enough, ended up in having privileges revoked, sometimes financial penalizations (not receiving bonus money that was previously promised to you), and we were told it could lead to loss of our jobs, though I don't believe anyone was fired due to that.
My worst experience was when the CEO took money out of my paycheck without my consent (which you cannot do in Pennsylvania) as a penalization for "taking too many vacation days" which he had previously approved and I had to spend six months working with a local court and talking to lawyers to get the money back. The money was returned eventually, but it took me half a year to get it and was definitely a huge hassle. This was the reason I quit my job with the company.
