      benefits are good reasonable opportunity for advancement and raise some great and hardworking coworkers conveniently located for people in broward and palm beach

      Cons

      management has a silo mentality embarrassingly understaffed in almost all areas need for culture change is recognized by executive committee members, but they refuse to take action immature office politics blocks meaningful progress at least one example of someone who worked there who went to hr with issues re: management and then was fired soon after (go ahead and tell me this was a coincidence)

      Work with amazing and talented people, always smiling and laughing. Coworkers are always willing to help if possible. Great management team.

      Cons

      Becomes quite busy throughout the day. Pay could be better.

      Pros

      Great entry level work, offers training without a need for any prior phlebotomy experience, but not really much else beyond that. Co-workers were very fun and easy to get along with. The environment was welcoming, and it offers plenty of opportunities to learn and grow alongside everyone, in the beginning. However, limits to growth begin to appear after a short time (more in Cons). Benefits were competitive compared to many entry level and full time options, however this can come at the cost of wages. It felt very difficult to build general savings. Corporate politics skew conservative (typical of biotech, biopharm industries), but the center culture itself offered me opportunities to express myself and meet coworkers and clientele of a diverse array of backgrounds.

      Cons

      Opportunities for growth and learning begin to feel limited, with the exception of pursuing leadership or flexibility in other areas. Tasks begin to feel monotonous, especially with the added burden of the days where (repeat) customers feel like the endless stream of rudeness and entitlement that it can often be, along with standing for long hours. To top it off, wage is beneath the going rate for beginning phlebotomists (11.00 > 12.36, after the company was bought by Grifols and everyone received a dollar raise, and then a 3% max raise for performance review after the new year). Management is often tone deaf to employee concerns, and may even value customers over employee health and safety. Turnover rate is fairly high. In about the span of a year, about 20-30 people left the company. Shifts are often shorthanded, but management is strict regarding overtime pay.

      Very repetitious you learn your job quickly very clean coworkers are nice but I love the donors

      Cons

      Poor communication between management and employees, very high turnover rate which results in a “can be hectic but not too hectic environment “ since you already know what your job is and how to do it

      Pros

      A great job for medical experience while in college. Plus it pays well! You do not have to be phlebotomy certified to work here; they do on the job training. Love my coworkers and what I get to do every day. They are very flexible with schedules; they kind of have to be since they hire mostly students. Lots of room for growth here.

      Pros

      The benefits and pay were nice. Great time off allowances (if you ever get to use it...) I learned a lot about how NOT to treat employees and other coworkers by watching upper management. I deserved and loved my position because its who I am as a person, but the support was not there.

      Cons

      You had to be careful about who knew what and make sure you were always on the right team... Upper management didnt seem to ever want to take on the reality of the decisions they made from high up and left the employees in the centers to make up for it

      Pros

      Good base pay, starts at $12/hr. Depending on where in the center you work, you can easily have 30-40 hours a week. Coworkers are great.

      Cons

      Management does not care about their employees, even though they act like they do. Work is repetitive. Work environment can be hostile with very rude donors. Things are only done the right way when an auditor is in the building. Unless you kiss butt, you're not likely to get far.
