Pros

South African people are an absolute joy to work with - the pros really are down to ability to experience new cultures..

Cons

I'm really going to try and be objective about this but it's not going to be easy! This company is very toxic, the pay is effectively blood money/bribery and the only reason I can think of that I stayed so long.. DO NOT JOIN THIS COMPANY! If you leave to join another company they will show up at your kids school, have private investigators follow you, bribe government officials to get you out the country.. They aggressively enforce the restraint of trade but to what end? Everyone is too scared to leave so the workforce is made up of people who want to leave but can't.. If you are talented and have confidence in your ability don't squander it here.. I have worked with over 40 senior managers that have joined and left within 12 months or left People with integrity are not welcome here.

Pros

Location is good, work isn't difficult. A rapidly expanding company. Annual company events. They're trying to create a positive culture, they're just not very good at it.

Cons

It's really boring - nothing revolutionary is happening. It's like outsourcing was 10 years ago but with drugs, prostitutes, corruption, and directors who bring guns to the office. Crippling shiftwork. The Careerbox PTY exists to take government grants and give them to CCI. They pay lip-service to equality, but still hire foreigners from the UK for roles which could be done by South Africans. They sue former employees, and cut corners on safety and security.
