Pros

Was able to travel a bit since there are plants all over MN. Most of the time I worked individually and was able to manage my own time.

Cons

You never have a set work day. You have to call in every night to find out where you'll be working the next day and you can never be sure when you'll finish for the day. The worst of all is the management. My supervisor was often very rude to me. He liked to say that I was "dumb" for being a college student. The worst part of all is that my supervisor would create issues and incorrectly perform job duties and he would then go on to blame the mistakes on me and other QC workers.

Pros

The employer has started investing time and money into an in-depth training program for staff, and emphasizing internal movement. Labor or driver staff will have tough schedules, but the managers are very upfront about that. Most management seems to really care. Great benefits, family oriented company. Lots of hardworking people. Company structure is well-organized so it’s easy to figure out who to go to with questions/problems.

Cons

It’s good and bad, depending on how you see it. Management has high expectations and will be pretty blunt if you make a mistake. Depending on how you take criticism, it could be rough or productive. If you make the same mistake more than once, you’ll get chastised a bit. Workload can definitely be too much for one person to handle, which leads to problems with output quality, and thus, chastisement for mistakes. PTO isn’t stellar, but it’s okay.

Pros

Pay is pretty fair. Most of the people I worked with were pleasant and worked as a team.

Cons

Management does not support your efforts. They really do not want you to stay until it's time for you to retire. Watch your back if you're over 50.
