Pros

A certain amount of freedom. A lot of the employees are good people. The individuals are great. And there is said to be opportunities for growth.

Cons

A very hostile work environment. A lot of turn-around. You're accountable for everything, expected to balance managerial duties with working basically as an on-call DSP. And yes, you will be expected to work on-call 27/7. The agency is so understaffed, you will end up working 60-70 hours weeks with no compensation besides your regular (and measly) 40-hour salary. This agency also empowers DSPs to go over your head and complain right into the Directors' cell phones if they have any tiny disagreement with you.

Pros

Friendly staff Offers fabulous community services and social enterprises

Cons

Vast amount if exposed risk that when raised ready to action were not mediated immediately. Risks that simply should not exist in 2023 Very disorganised Priorities not aligning with my values. After I resigned there was no formal announcement of my departure (I was executive level) to colleagues so my last day came and went with no recognition.
