Potential connectors beware!

Pros

The people are great but unfortunately this is irrelevant as the leadership here is hideous.

Cons

Potential connectors beware! This place is soul destroying, specifically in the build teams. Led by paranoia and his yes men. You will find yourself boxed in, isolated if you challenge him (don't dare - your days will be numbered!), berated publicly on calls and WhatsApp chats (yes this company runs its comms on WhatsApp off your personal phone so you literally cannot switch off from the place). He lies, bullies and spends most of his time switching between yelling and swearing at everyone on calls to being super charming and then switching immediately back again. The torment is unreal and unrelenting. There is little to no point in you trying to seek support from your line manager nor is there any support from HR - who will either ignore your concerns, or defend and deflect. I have worked at lots of start ups, and some big fibre companies and I can hand on my heart say that I have never experienced anything like it. You have no job security here - the build team leadership is appalling and run by a clown who has no soul or compassion for its people.

Pros

- Team members and line managers are all excellent people and hard working.

Cons

- Senior management was not professional. - Senior management swore and bullied team members. - Toxic work culture and HR was aware and did not act. - Team members were asked to change reports to numbers that looked better but was not correct. - Bullying not acting on my HR and covered up. Disability discrimination and just a horrible place to work. They expect you to work till 11pm and then shout at you for being tired the next day on calls.

Pros

Either a company Sim or use your own phone number for £17.50 a month allowance

Cons

- Salary less than the average - You need to request a work device as allot of staff work on personal devices - IT department non existent when I joined so No IT Department again. - Promise of hiring more IT staff backtracked - Not standardising equipment - Although informed remote only - This role has you in the office 3 days a week minimum as deliveries will be missed due to inconsistency of people being in the office. - Small Office currently seats 7 people - very budget conscience (budget changed on a weekly bases) - Juggling multiple license trials as when trial ended not committing to pay - Budget Laptops (cheaper the better) unless upper management - Budget WFH kit (cheaper the better) unless upper management - Communication - Its hard to get hold of any one as you have to send the same message via half a dozen messaging apps and hope you geta response - Control over social media accounts (reason why each new employee posts on LinkedIn and has picture + Blurb on website) Usual benefits companies have - Pension (Only mandatory requirements) - No Medical Care - No Life Insurance - No schemes such as cycle to work of otherwise - No cost of living pay increases for current employees Not sure if I will even be getting paid final payment due to being ghosted after resignation?
