Pros

- A friendly, passionate, and international nice people and working environment. - Generally speaking, the tech stack is up-to-date, and get new updates/components with time. - The product really nice and comes to solve a real problem in the market and to fill the gap. - An agile mindset, where it can deal with changes without panicking or making a mess. - There is a support to get things done outside the work (e.g. city hall office registration, official documents, accommodation ... etc).

Cons

- Lead is not all about tech, but also about people! So it'd be great if Tech leads get some managerial training. - You have to be strong enough to say no (which's not the case for all people). - Some times there is a pressure to deliver when it's better to find an efficient/sustainable solutions. - Personal preference: The company should have more flexibility with working hours.

Pros

Nothing positive to say about Crossengage.

Cons

Tons of negative things to say about Crossengage. Starting from top to bottom because a fish rots from the head down. One of the co founders loves to control people, the master of micro management, treats people like his servants and expect that people do what he tells them (see other reviews on the same guy). People are leaving the company or are fired by management and that is very normal thing there. The company does not have clear vision and mission. Everything is chaotic and there is no any plan what should be done and how it should work. No traces of leadership, proper HR management (not only office management), transparent hiring process, ... Promotion or increasing the salary is only possible to get if the one of the co founder like you and not based on any results of your work. On the team leader level couple of guys with problematic attitude and very unexperienced for that position. Not possible to proposed new solutions or discuss on the existing solutions because ego of some people are really sensitive on critics plus with very weird social behavior. Bullying other people using rude comments on code reviews or verbal communication in meeting is quite common for one guy. Overtime work is very normal in this company and management ignores to think on refunding the overtime.

Dear former colleague, many thanks for your review, even though it makes me sad to hear that you didn´t have the best experience while working at CrossEngage. We admit that not everything has been 100% smooth in the past, but we try to improve constantly and have taken multiple measure in order to enhance the employee experience at CrossEngage. If you would talk to your former colleagues here, they can certainly confirm that things are changing and many of the points that you are listing in your review are already being addressed. With a growing company and more senior managers coming on board, we now also have the ressources to work on improving processes, may it be in tech or HR. Unfortunately, not everything is 100% perfect at a startup in the early days but really trying to improve whatever is possible. One point that made me wonder a bit: While overtime has been a topic for parts of the tech team (and we are heavily working on that e.g. by hiring external ressources for 24/7 support), working hours at CrossEngage are definitely not crazy with many people starting between 8.30-10.00 and ending their work day between 18.00-19.00. If people need to work longer (e.g. because of a maintenance outside of business hours), we always try to find ways how to compensate for that. I would be happy to discuss any of these topics personally with you, feel free to reach out at any time. All the best Manuel

A Startup in Progress

Pros

- Great people from all over the world. Everyone is open and helpful. - A flat hierarchy allows you to participate and shape organisational structures and there are no barriers to communicate with everyone. - Continues improvement of structures and management. In a startup like this, nothing starts in a perfect way, but there is a strong determination to improve and learn from mistakes. - Engineering is not only focused on fast delivery but also on a solid and up-to-date tech stack.

Cons

- Relatively high employee turnover rate. It is sad too see people go, for any reason, that you liked to work with.

Many thanks for your well-balanced review. As you know, we try to improve constantly and I´m happy that you recognizing our efforts here. Employee turnover is certainly something that we need to work on, even though in the startup-world it´s also sometimes not unusual that people want to move on after having been >2 years with a company. With a growing company there will be hopefully also more chances internally for personal growth and development of people and besides that my clear goal is to improve employee experience at CrossEngage with structured interview processes and a warm welcome at the beginning, regular feedback and transparent communication while being at CrossEngage as well as a positive, result-oriented culture where everybody can contribute and is respected as a valuable member of the team. In case there is anything else that you would like to add or discuss, feel free to reach out to me personally at any time. All the best Manuel
