Unethical, Deceitful and Incompetent Leadership, Terrible Industry Reputation
Pros
Honestly none. I genuinely feel the CEO is a terrible human being and that culture stems itself all the way down. You can even Google the founder's name along with the word Nanny or lawsuit to find a NY daily news article of the founder that tells you all you need to know. If you treat people who are in your home like this, how do you think you will treat employees?
Cons
Competitors founders went to top MBAs like HBS. Our founder is basically a used car salesmen who wins accounts by discounting. Most of our private equity clients are only paying off of base salary instead of all-in compensation and we work the most high attrition firms in the industry. We essentially are the bottom feeders of the industry and have one of the highest attrition rates. In terms of day to day, you spend that cold-calling and spamming candidates who want nothing to do with you. The general IQ of the team is also laughable. I dont think anyone on the team could name more than five senators or do basic arithmetic. This job is really for the weak minded and unethical professionals looking to make money lying to innocent younger professionals in the finance industry. I have seen many colleagues simply lie about compensation or trajectory in order to get an offer accepted or scare candidates. All in all, I would definitely avoid. I think going to a Selby Jennings or Michael Page is better despite their equally bad reputations.
