Pros

One would say they offer perks such as free breakfast, unlimited drinks and snacks and a modern office space but that ends there

Cons

Management is vastly incompetent. It is clear that managers either got there through tenure (because they may have been the first person in a management role) or because they are tight with the big heads. If you pay close attention, you'll realise that none of them are worthy of their roles, eager they are there just to pacify and appease their bosses. The expectation to always be on. Those who have kids and home lives that they want to prioritise will not take to this environment kindly. It's clear the people who stay either don't have kids and commitments outside work, or prioritise work over their home lives. When these folks are in manager roles, then you have this expectation that everyone needs to love for work. The general vibe is also expectant that you should feel grateful to be employed by them as they believe they are the best. Some would say they pay very well, but not in my case. Very male dominated, with a clear bro/boys culture. You will very likely be in meeting rooms full of guys and hear misogynistic comments.

Good people and culture, held back by inexperienced leadership

Pros

It is a unique space in Australia where you get to meet people from different cultures and countries, all working under one banner. One of the most diverse offices you’ll come across. he breakfast offering is also a great perk and adds to the overall positive workplace experience.

Cons

Like most workplaces, there is office politics that’s human nature and hard to avoid anywhere. Due to the nature of the business, profitability is largely driven by the business model itself rather than marketing outcomes alone. This has worked well for the current senior leadership, many of whom joined very early when the company was still relatively unknown. Being early has provided long-term stability and influence. From an employee perspective, a key challenge is that leadership and people-management experience at senior levels can feel limited. Several leadership roles appear to be held by early joiners who benefited from timing rather than demonstrated management capability. This can create a leadership group more focused on maintaining stability than developing teams or supporting new talent. When issues arise, accountability can feel weighted toward newer employees rather than managers, even when stronger leadership or guidance may have helped.

Workplace bullying, micro-managing, toxic culture, and poor management. Not recommended for anyone expecting fair leadership and a healthy work environment.

Pros

- exposure to complex matters - some competent stakeholders

Cons

- Dysfunctional legal and compliance team with weak leadership and ineffective management - Leadership lacks experience and does not demonstrate the capability requied to manage a complex, high-risk legal and compliance function - No clear strategic direction or disciplined prioritisation, resulting in constant firefighting and unnecessary operational strain - Decision-making is inconsistent and often unclear, driving inefficiency and avoidable stress - Junior lawyers received limited supervision, feedback, or structured development - Senior lawyers burdened with excessive responsibility without the authority, support, or resourcing needed to operate sustainably - Environment is unsuitable for junior lawyers seeking proper training and unsustainable for experience practitioners

Startup vibe trying to transition to a scale up environment

Pros

- Free breakfasts - Spin the wheel (you're guaranteed to win $100 voucher per spin, up to $1,000). - Free alcohol in the fridge, alongside canned drinks, lots of soda waters - In-house barista free of charge, up until 4pm - Above average market pay - Some departments now can work from home 1 day a week when it used to be fully 5 days in office - Some of the best software tools you can use in the market and install quite freely - Less administrative burden when trying to install software, and less admin work overall - Generally very good work life balance, not expected to work past 5:30pm for almost all departments - Quite relaxed with expenses policy - If you have a good idea and if most people are on board with it, it's quite easy for you to implement it - Annual leave and personal leave balances combined for 30 days - when you leave the company you can cash them out.

Cons

- Learning and Development kind of lacking, may depend on department but it's found that managers in place generally are good at their own jobs as individual contributors but may not be management material - Individuals who were great contributors at the startup space may not be the best people to transition into corporate environments, especially when you need to manage teams of people who need to finish work by 530pm. - Sometimes each teams kind of have cliquey vibes, also there's lack of cammaderie in a lot of teams. - A lot of departments still need to work from office 5 days a week - Heard many stories of individuals being fired right before 6 months probation - goes to show the hiring processes need to better weed out people or train them better to absorb into the culture. - The receptionists had changed multiple times so may have been potential firings - Overspending in the company is quite big and sometimes go out of control - Company is expanding too fast, but not making money (losing money in some instances). - Promotions and career development is not very clear in the company. They would have more potential if there were clear cut pathways for promotion.

Pros

Overall, my experience at easygo has been very positive. The team environment is great, management is supportive and there are plenty of opportunities to learn and grow professionally. The workplace culture is modern and fast paced, which keeps things interesting and the company invests in its employees.

Cons

Workload can sometimes become overwhelming, especially during busy periods or major projects. At times, maintaining work life balance can be challenging due to the pace of work.
