Pros

Always got paid on time Some good associates

Cons

Poor teamwork between managers (everyone is an island) Directors are often disconnected from the day to day experience of their managers Took 7 months to get access to necessary software, 4 months for one on one meeting with a director (as done with all other managers), 8 months for necessary P Card. Poor job owning tasks and follow up Horrible work life balance. 10 hour minimum work day, the money does not make it feel worth it I've seen screaming matches between directors and managers, expletives thrown around Interdepartmental blaming is an olympic sport there Huge amount of pressure from owners to squeeze revenue. Directors under pressure and dump it on managers Uneven training but directors demand results without putting in the effort Without a doubt the most dysfunctional place I've ever worked at. My final impression of this place was they take FAR more than they give. It's just not worth it.

Pros

Truly timeless brand with exceptional service standards. The brand is clearly more liberal with cash than other brands in the MI portfolio and provides staff with a lot of empowerment. EDITION operates very much like a startup within a large company, where management gets much more hands on with exec level staff and the decision making process than they would in similar roles at other brands. The Brand Team was mostly inspiring and helpful.

Cons

From afar, it appears culture is better overseas than at any of the properties currently open in the US. There are giant pay disparities between employees of the same leveling and tenure, major diversity and inclusion issues, most hiring decisions are based on look and culture fit. Response to COVID was very sad and communication to staff of all levels was non-existent leading up to terminations. Most issues exist within executive committees at the property level, with line level managers running the show for $50k a year.

Pros

1 free meal, and parking

Cons

Managers very pretentious, more concerned with their next latte than doing their jobs or working as a team. No proper training. Some Managers seemed to frazzled or "fake" busy to help.
