Very political, zero WBL if you ever want to be promoted, LOW PAY considering their importance as a GC, poor diversity in upper management, and office facilities offer only (bad) coffee and you can't even store food in the fridge.

- Sexism is still very prominent (hard to move up if you are a woman) I think this might be an industry problem however I've experienced some of the worst things on some of these sites that will stay with me for life. I've also seen many amazing talented women quit here because it's too much stress trying to even be heard! In meetings often ignored and disregarded as a person of value. I know they are trying to make things better from an upper management point of view but you can't change an old boys club. Either the generations needs to retire off or there needs to be more education.

Deep down it's an old white boys club. Just take a look at upper management. No work life balance. When COVID started, they had a policy where if the employee's partner had COVID symptoms, the employee still had to go to work in person.

Field and project management staff frequently work long hours in order to meet project deadlines. Efforts at times go un-recognized by upper management, overall pay would not be reflective of hours worked since there is no overtime pay for salary. There is no incentive to perform well other than fear of losing your job. Dividends on shares have not been paid over the years which defeats the purpose of taking a pay cut to work here.

Jobsite was a toxic environment and upper management didn't care to rectify the situation

Project teams are undersized at the most important time of the project (the beginning), Then they over compensate (with unqualified persons) in the last half of the project when its to late. Always behind, very frustrating. ED boasts a great mentoring program , but through people in the fire and watches them burn, also poor communication skills with upper management. Improper balance of wages and profit sharing (ie a project manager can make more than a VP)

-Some departments in the company are closed systems, growing very slowly and offering opportunities for advancement also very slowly -In general, the company gives very little to complain about
