Pros
The sky is the limit with this company. They promote from the ground up. If you don't put your time in you won't get compensated..... it's as simple as that. Yes, MT is grunt work(you'll clean bathrooms, do dirty work etc..) but if you're like me and came in with zero building knowledge you will learn a TON! You can move up quick if you apply yourself. You have to take a written test and go to corporate(PA) for two classes before you can be promoted to co manager. But there are multiple routes you can take other than management that don't require all the "red tape". Just know that 84 offers a lot of opportunity so don't get discouraged by the initial pay.. it's entry level pay for a reason.. they don't want you to be there forever.
Cons
While I understand making entry level pay a tad light prevents employees from getting complacent i still think $9.42/hr is way too low. Especially for guys in stores that aren't hitting quota. Had I not started in a store that hit supers and level 4's I probably wouldn't have stuck with it just because I wouldn't have been able to survive. You also have to relocate to take a promotion in the management field. Depending on how your counter is set up you could be working 60+ hours. If you have more than one MT then there should be no reason to work more than 50ish hours a week.
