Pros
Good work life balance. However, the work-life balance is not due to Alten is related to the client to which the engineer is committed.
Cons
On average, an engineer is heavily underpaid, really poor benefits, no career development, absolute lack of commitment from a management point of view. The worst aspect is related to the roles, quite often the proposed positions sound interesting but are all smoke to attract engineer. The job opportunities they brag about are all fake or mocked-up on purpose. The management has no interest in the quality of the hiring process without any care on who is hired or where they are employed; the consequence is often the total mismatch between roles and skills. They do not make the interest of the client nor the interest of the employees. When people manifest unrest Alten uses either to lie faking fancy changes that end up with similar positions or, in some more problematic cases, to harass peoples.
