Pros
The work /life balance opportunities are exceptional. There is loads of flex for great performers as long as the job gets done. Company benefit contributions are very good and have been consistently so for years. More important to me is the working environment. I am most impressed by the level of expertise of the employees. As other companies have let their best people go Acadia has picked them up which gives an air of esprit de corps, current employees are highly encouraged and rewarded to improve their abilities, and with the regular training classes the entry level people get an excellent foundation to continue this success. Turnover is low in most areas so for those looking for a quick rise to the top this is not the place. For those who like to learn the material, to become an expert in their field and who are in it for the long term this is the place. And if you are willing to relocate you will have a leg up at the many other Berkley companies.
Cons
I have a hard time finding any ways the company could improve. I recommend only potentially excellent employees because I'd rather fly with the eagles than run with turkeys.
