Meh. Breaking the sound barrier with upward mobility - if you know how to present yourself the right way to the right people. If you are interested in working hard and doing right, forget it, if the bureaucracy doesn't get you down the work culture will.
Cons
Upward mobility means a 6 month intern can be a country finance director in 3 months if you know how to act. no accountability to beneficiaries or staff, partly because its run by a boys version of a mens club. Programs are disgusting, do not care at all about beneficiary ownership of the aid they receive or for their safety in program implementation. Pay is well below international rates, but not bad for a French organization.
