Pros

I learned how a bad leader operates/grooms other people to lead the same way. Made some amazing friends, felt supported by certain people 100% of the time and others only when I was "killing it" Moved up quickly Ability to create your own paycheck with commissions Great place to work right out of college to learn some basic skills. However, I would get out after a year.

Cons

Micromanagement. I was told one time that "when the going gets tough it's not the time to white knuckle it with your employees." I'm lol at this - (experienced the complete opposite not only with my but also had to bring that stress down on my team) -when you're doing well you will hear from certain people all the time encouraging you and lifting you up. When you fall and fall and fall (which happens no matter what -it's staffing) you will realize who actually cared about you. You will quickly be told certain metrics that need to be hit and get a call about those goals every 30 mins to say "ummmm where are you at on this because it shows you only put in 39 notes and last time we talked you were going to do a call block" - not sure how you're supposed to get a call block done when you have emails and calls coming at you constantly asking you why you haven't made more dials. When I wasn't doing as great as I should but busting my butt (not sure if anyone heard but a little thing called the CORONAVIRUS hit)I didn't hear from several people that claimed to "care about me" You have some great people in "middle management" who are actually handling the brunt of the work, know more about what is going on in the market, can handle their teams and book of business on their own and should be left tf alone. They will do a better job and succeed more without being micromanaged. You have VP's that can hardly remember their own name let alone keep track of several markets. The message as to what needs to be completed that day, week, month, quarter, changes every minute - just tell people what needs to happen clearly and if they've gone through Galileo they'll get it done.... SHOCKER I know When I started activity was definitely crucial (I enjoyed it and was competitive with it) but it has become something that is honestly out of control and trumps what's best for candidates and clients at the end of the day. ***MORE DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN BETTER***
