Pros

Good first job out of college with clear career progression. The people are great to work with and the office is fun. Commission while difficult on slower months is achievable if you put in the hours needed to do so. (55 hrs is a realistic work week)

Cons

Expert Networks are a tough and honestly unpleasant industry to work in. Hyper competitive both internally and amongst competitions, ludicrous requests from clients on unrealistic timelines, and management internally that encourages borderline harassment of the experts within the network. These things all come together to make the overall industry just a pain to work in. They use a lot of buzzwords aka Knowledge economy to make you feel like you are doing some amazing thing for the world where in reality, you work at a call center to find ways to convince industry professionals to take time out of their day to help your clients when there is no guarantee they will get picked for the project or canceled on 5 minutes before a call is meant to take place.

Pros

Rapid Progression & Recognition: Performance is directly rewarded here. If you hit your goals and show drive, the path to promotion and career growth is transparent and fast. Strong Team Culture: The team energy is fantastic. Everyone is highly collaborative, supportive, and commercially minded, which makes for a great working environment. High Autonomy: From day one, you are given real ownership over your projects (like leading recruitment events, managing candidates, and driving partnerships), allowing you to grow your commercial skills rapidly.

Cons

High Velocity & Pressure: The work is very fast-paced with strict timelines and high-volume expectations. It is not a place where you can coast, and you need to be comfortable working under commercial pressure. Resilience is Key: Sourcing and recruiting require a great deal of resilience. You have to be comfortable with rejection and persistent in finding creative solutions to hit your targets.

Pros

The team culture here is what keeps me around. People genuinely want to help each other do well, and it feels collaborative in a way that's hard to find elsewhere. What I've appreciated most is how much autonomy you get over your own career. I've been able to take on responsibility early, learn a ton, and grow quickly without anyone holding me back.

Cons

It's fast-paced and the bar is high. You've got to be comfortable figuring things out as you go. But honestly, if you like being challenged and want to develop fast, it's a great place to do that.
