Pros

Large looking wages to start with but then! check it out

Cons

To start with they hire a van and pay the deposit for you for the first week or two depending how wages fall and you pay it back weekly to them at the same time as paying your van hire, so you are paying approx. £110 per week for the deposit and £210 per week for your van hire. £320 out of a week’s wages. It was 5 weeks working after paying my own fuel in advance, taking out money for the van hire they paid as well as the van hire I had to pay before I made any money after paying everyone back. Take in to account you are paid 2 weeks in arrears. Without the bonus you will work 6 full days 7:30 up to 9pm, normally 6:30 - 7:30 finish, 12 hours on a full day x 6 =72 hours £110 per day x 6 = £660 van cost £210 per week first 6 weeks paying £110 deposit repayment and then £50 per week (after the 6 weeks) until they have £1500 of your money in their bank. (van safety deposit) £25 for them to process your wages For the first 6 weeks £660 (6 days work) – £210 (van Hire) = £450 – £110 (rental Repayment) = £340 not bad, you will then be paying £25 per week for the privilege of them processing your wages taking it to £315 but divide by 72 hours on a full week = £4.37p hour to be self-employed. you can improve if you work faster/run Normal week for the first 6 months £660 (6 days work) – £210 (van Hire) = £450 – £50 (van safety deposit) = £400 not bad, you will then be paying £25 per week for the privilege of them processing your wages taking it to £375 but divide by 72 hours on a full week = £5.20 p hour to be self-employed. Then pay tax out of that and NI and you may as well be unemployed. If you stay off for more than 3 days even if you are ill they hold all money owed until you return, this will be 3 weeks’ pay (includes the week you stay off) You do get £1.80 for the data per day you will use on your phone You will have to pay the fuel in advance paid back at £0.16 per mile (3 weeks later) no matter how many miles you do this is based on the route, if you revisit customers who are not home it will not be counted on the route. You can expect approximately £6.50 – £7.50 per day for fuel, trust me you will use more than that. If you decide to leave you will be paid your outstanding wages after 5 weeks from your last day. After all this you will take home £315 – tax and National insurance per week for the first 6 weeks a bit different from £660 But then it will go up to £375 - tax and National insurance for the next 6 months. If you do less than 6 days you will lose £110 per day, but all the outgoing stay as they are so the first 6 weeks if you do 3 days you will earn £330 (3 days work) -£320 (van rental and repayment) = £10 (gross pay) – tax, so don’t take time off at all so £10 divided by 36 hours = £0.27 p/h approx

Pros

Nice pace. Not to slow, not too fast. If you like customer facing jobs, this could be a good fit. No managers standing over your shoulder.

Cons

Having to fight for jobs. Flex hours. I was lucky if I got 12 hrs a week. 8 was more the norm.
