Pros
Fully remote is really nice but can be hard to feel a connection to colleagues and team. Unlimited vacation is really nice perk but there is a fair amount of red tape around when you can take it - overall a really nice benefit though.
Cons
There is one particular leader on the marketing team who is the worst boss I’ve ever had. Doesn’t onboard and train at all, throws things at you and gets mean when you ask questions about it or need help. Constantly says “I want you to ask question or suggest new ways of doing things - I love that!” then when you do that just gets so peeved with you and completely belittles you. Did it to so many other people in meetings was just so rude to people and is creating a culture of this within the whole marketing team because one of her “favorite” employees absolutely chewed someone else out in a meeting because she didn’t like an idea that they shared. The final straw was when a really sad situation happened with an employee in the company and people were very shaken up and she barely acknowledged it, was so flippant about it and was adamant that a particular meeting needed to happen despite people who were affected by the incident. There is very much a culture on the marketing team that everything is a huge deal and needs to happen so fast when it’s just not the reality.
