Pros

-Competitive entry-level salary and attractive management trainee programs -Good benefits package and 401k match -Tons of free beer, cool swag, basically a college kid’s dream job -As much opportunity and responsibility as you can handle -Anheuser-Busch looks really good on a resume -Your peers are generally fun and share similar interests and passions; some of my closest friendships started at AB

Cons

-Work-life balance boundaries: on top of frequent 10-12 hour days, often needed to answer calls and respond to emails during weekends and evenings, vacations are not sacred -Turnover (especially at breweries): burnout and a strategy to promote quickly are contributors to backfill pressure -Bureaucracy, as expected in a global corporation of this size -Questioning ideas will make you stick out vs. just drinking the company kool-aid / beer and being "align-ed" -Compensation bounded by salary bands and merit-based annual raises further drive the need to promote quickly. -Stock option LTIs received over the past 10 years likely carry little value based on AB's stock performance -Feels like every year comes with a new set of strategies but without the necessary resources to implement them (driver of work-life balance).

Thank you for sharing a detailed review about your time with us at AB. We are actively seeking what stands out to our current and former employees, as we strive to continuously improve. To address some of your feedback, we understand work life balance can be challenging, and we always encourage our employees to work with their managers to help prioritize tasks that will allow for more balance in their day. Additionally when it comes to banding and compensation, we have recently made changes to our compensation model and bonus structure as a result of employee feedback, and we encourage all employees to reach out to leadership to understand these changes. We realize there is always room for improvement though, so we appreciate your comments and have shared them internally. We wish you the best in your future career.

Pros

Great Benefits, Great Coworkers, Cafe at HQ

Cons

Position was eliminated following 10 years of dedicated service, with no transition placement or internal employment opportunities provided. I also don't believe the company knows or understands it's own culture.
