Pros

Exposure to some of the most well known companies in the world and their senior management. Never dull and never a shortage of work to accomplish. You learn how to manage numerous personality types and get diverse exposure to industry sectors.

Cons

Compensation is inconsistent. McKinsey management style- squeeze the life out of your people, then pay them below-market at bonus time. Long standing tradition of turnover at all ranks thanks to greener pastures and the promise of less bs somewhere else. It's too bad because for the small savings management gets as a result of screwing their employees, the risk of losing business when top-flight talent leaves never gets through to them. Greg Case makes $16 large though so at least someone is getting paid.
